All about running - Who we are? We're runners, just like you! Passionate about what we love doing.

Tom Williams - Having never previously run more than a couple of miles, Tom trained for, and ran, his first marathon in 1999. Raising money for the Leukaemia Research Fund he crossed the line in a touch under four hours and promptly hung up his newly purchased trainers for what he thought would be the last time. Four years later in an attempt to get fit and lose a few pounds he took up running whilst working in his local gym. Some friends entered him in his local half marathon and taking nearly 20 minutes off his best previous time he signed up for the 2003 Lausanne Marathon later that year. Hoping to break three hours he blew at mile 20 but managed to hang on to a 43 minute PB finishing in three hours and ten minutes. Since then Tom has run a further 13 marathons with a pb of 2:49 achieved in London 2008. In 2006 Tom completed his first triathlon and up to now has finished seven Ironman races with a pb of 9:24 set at the 2010 Outlaw Iron-distance race.

Tom holds a B.Sc. in Human Biology & Exercise Science, an M.Sc. in Sport & Exercise Science and currently works as a lecturer in Sport & Exercise Science at the University of Leeds. To keep up to date with Tom check out his blog at www.tomwilliams.squarespace.com.
