Tony Audenshaw - Tony's Trials - Since Tony ran his first marathon in his hometown Manchester in 1996 as a means to lose weight (finishing in 4.24.19), he has completed the distance twenty something times in London (every year since 2001, pb 2.58.49), New York, Amsterdam, Dublin, Mallorca (Palma and Calvia), Marrakesh, Luberon, Blackpool, Sheffield, Snowdonia and Nottingham for either Stockport Harriers or Leukaemia and Lymphoma Research’s Banana Army. He had DNS’s at Monaco and Florence on account of a landslide and freak chest injury and a DNF at Luton due to Threelapitis. He has also taken part in The Bullock Smithy 56m and Roentgenlauf 63.3km ultras and is the current Guinness World Record Holder for Fastest Baby In A Marathon.

Before joining ITV1’s soap Emmerdale in 2000 as Bob Hope, Tony had roles in the likes of Prime Suspect V, Heartbeat, Peak Practice,  Brookside and the films Raining Stones and Going Off Big Time.  He wrote, directed and voiced The Thorpe Park Rangers Shows and has appeared on numerous television light entertainment programmes including Blankety Blank, Family Fortunes, Mastermind (winning with specialist subject British Birds) and Stars In Their Eyes (winning with Kenny Rogers, losing with Roy Wood).
