    Vicki I am very sorry I didn't see this until it was too late. I passed on your friend's details to my club mate and just assumed she had been in touch. I don't know if she gave the number to someone else or not. Very sorry for the confusion. I hope you had a good race nevertheless.

    In full: After realising a PB was not possible I went for plan B which was to run at marathon pace (8:45) in preparation for Edinburgh marathon and managed 8:38 pace and finished feeling good!

    In full: Love this race. Very well organised. 2nd year. Will b back. Bit disappointed with time but seeing Tony at 11.5 gave a bit of a burst of energy. Looking forward to the next race. Cheshire spring 5.

    Enjoyed it: tried to ignore heat and keep to a 9.09 pace to hit 2 hour target for Jantastic. But not even Tony could lift me to quite do it.

    First time at Wilmslow. Really enjoyed it. PB by over a minute and didn't find it too hot, so hopefully sets up VLM Great seeing Tony.

    In full: Too hot for me today , going for a sub 1:45 but the wheels fell right off@ 7 miles and I just managed to creep in under 2 hours , Tony Audenshaw gave me a morale boost and I thanked him for his support !! I promptly ******d my legs to ensure a Sub - 2 :-)

    In short: Hot but Brilliant a) PB (it was my first EVER half marathon!) Brilliant b) I did it with my sister!

    In full: Wanted to do sub 2hrs for my first half marathon - but I think the heat got the better of me slightly. Nothing like as quick as many posting on here but I'm still super chuffed!

    In short: Warm day practiced my neg time splits, started on 7.05 min miles, got half way cranked up to 6.45 then last mile showed a 5.40 min.

    In full: Great event well marshalled, my first half marathon so well chuffed with my time, thanks to Marathon talk and Mark Cassella for advice and motivation. Certainly felt the pace on the last couple of miles, next stop half ironman.

    In full: Well the heat got to me, not enough fluids taken on and 7 minutes over my expected time. One saving grace was I beat last years time by 30 seconds. Well done at the support Tony, although I think he was a bit scared when I shouted 'Tony's Trials' at him.

    In short: Lack of decent nutrition and the heat did for my legs today so a bit disappointed not to do a sub 2hr, great to have done my 1st half!

    In full: Great day with a well organised race and a great atmosphere from all competitors. I really enjoyed my first half marathon, especially to have done it with my sister (who beat me!!). I struggled with the heat and didn't feel nearly as good as my last few training runs so a bit disappointed but I couldn't have gone any faster so hey ho! I do at least have a tan from my running vest!!

    In full: 4 weeks before London and my 'marker' has left me feeling deflated. Suffered at the now imfamous mile 8 onwards. Head went before my legs. 4 minutes off my target time but a pb so at least one positive.

    In short: HOT, scenic, well organised.

    In full: Disappointing time for me, was shooting for sub 1:50 but after 7 miles feeling fresh & fit I stopped to drink from those pesky cups and just felt awful for the rest of it. I don't even want to look at my splits.

    Great boost from Tony towards the end. Very much appreciated!

    Despite the disappointing time, the organisation was superb, the scenery great and I'll definitely doing it again.

    I'll be setting off for a bit more cautiously for the Brighton marathon in 3 weeks. Hoping to scrape a sub-4!
