All about running. By runners, for runners.

Episode 100 - Steve Jones (Part One)

Released: Wednesday 7th December 2011

Part one of the interview we've all been waiting for... Welsh running legend Steve Jones still holds the British marathon record thanks to his amazing 2:07:13 from Chicago 1985... having also crossed the finish line first in New York and London and, previous to his 2:07 in Chicago, a 2:08:05 on the same course was a World record back in 1984. Enough said for this week we think!

A massive congrats and huge thanks on the 100th show gents. I first discovered your show at the start of 2011 and have since listened to every show. You have been an inspiration to myself and I am sure a speak for 1000's of others too. Listening to the weekly shows has been far and away the best motivational tool that I could have possibly found in my running life. Martin, Tom and of course the ever hilarious Tony keep up the good work and we're all looking forward to the next 100!

Congratulations from Canada on the big milestone of 100 shows!! I discovered the show when you were on about show 40 and have listened to every show since. Some shows I have listened to more than once. I also had fun going back and listening to the first 40 I missed. I listen to 2 other running podcasts and can say this is easily my favourite. Here's to the next 100!!!!

Congratulations on the 100th episode. I have not seen or heard an in-depth interview with Yuki Kawauchi even here in Japan. I love his style of giving 120% at the races. I am looking forward to your interviewing the most exciting marathoner from Japan.

Great interview - what a class act Steve Jones is. Has he brought out an autobiography - would be a great read!

Also wanted to add congratulations for your milestone 100th episode. Have always chosen to run alone and not been part of a club culture but MT really does make you feel part of something so thanks for everything you do and well done.
