Another great show - thanks guys. Very motivational, even as I lie here out of action with busted collar bone. Makes me even more desperate to get out there and have a run .... must ... be ... patient...! Nice interview that again shows success, even at elite level, is at least in part driven by enthusiasm and love for the sport. Thanks

How many times did Liz swallow loudly during her interview? Either she was way too close to the mic or she was siping a pint all the way trough!

Yep - have noticed this already! Have been relistening to all the shows from the beginning 'cause my long runs are taking sooooo long ;). The delivery of interview questions has also become slicker and you guys seem much more relaxed "on air" in comparison to when you started. Dont change too much though!

Great interview with Liz. It was really interesting to listen to her being open about her struggles in the last 18 months. Best of luck for London, Liz and I hope you can do it!

This episode underlines why Marathon Talk is always at the top of my playlist. It's informative, witty and the interviews have none of that fluff or spin that you get in the press. It was so refreshing to hear Liz sharing the bad times, the good times and her hopes. Thanks for a professional job well done.

Been saving this one til today as am huge LY fan and it didn't disappoint. Very frank and so inspiring. Really hope you make it to London 2012 Liz, and good luck at altitude. Will Martin talk in a funny high voice for the weeks he records at altitude or isn't it actually that high!!

I just wanted to say what a great interview Liz did this week, very honest, humble and inspiring. I really felt for her when she said she wanted the ground to open up regarding the VLM. I see her out running around Poole and i'm inspired by her determination and tenacity and would love to run at half her speed. So Go Liz and good on you, here's to some brilliant marathon training and a fantastic race.

Like everyone else I just wanted to say how brilliant Liz's interview was, she's a complete legend not only for going through everything she did, but for being able to talk frankly about the dark side of being an elite and also for pushing through. What an inspiration. Thank you!

I completely agree with Sarah and Alexandra. I have just listened to Liz's interview, and what a treat it was for an average recreational runner to listen to such an honest and revealing interview by an elite female athlete. Good on you Liz for having the insight and strength to tackle every stage of your career so positively. All the very best for your training and racing this year.
