It's probably appropriate to remind people that it's very easy to register to be an organ donor. Two minutes filling in a web form:
    https://www.organdonation.nhs.uk/ukt/how_to_become_a_donor/registration/consent.jsp

    Tom Williams Says:

Great shout Paul - will mention it next week.

P.S. Would you mind emailing me via info@marathontalk.com to remind me?

    Adrian Baldock Says:

I can vouch for the two minutes. After listening to Johns interview on my LSR today I signed the Organ Donation Register online this afternoon. I should be ashamed of myself really for not doing it years ago but I assumed it would be a complicated process involving consent forms, signatures, next of kin contact info etc. Nothing could have been simpler tho. Very inspiring episode - Well done to all involved.

    Darren Reevell Says:

I did this a couple of years ago...just remember to tell your 'next of kin' of your wishes to donate, and carry your card with pride (I do).

Absolutely amazing interview, really inspiring. What an incredible bloke. (by the way Tom, you ran past me tonight while I was listening to it on my walk home, I nearly shouted after you but I was very close to tears listening to John's interview so I thought I'd better not!!!)

One of the best interview(ee)s that you've had on MT, what an amazing guy. Well done.

Great interview and an amazing story.

John Fisher was so positive I think you should drop the rant for a week and just have raves as a tribute to his courage.

Completely agree. He was so motivational, honest and friendly. I'd be proud to run along side him!

what a brilliant interview and a really great bloke. Sometimes things just 'get'you. I'm listening to him talking and thinking " wait a minute, i'm 38, with family, fairly fit, never smoked or took drugs" so now i'm sh*teing myself that every tiny feeling is an imminent heart attack!

there have been some great interviews and Haile will be great too, but sometimes 'ordinary folks' are great to listen to. really inspiring - well done

hi is episode 107 the same as 106,they both come up as the same on the computer or am i just having a senior moment?

    Avatar 22nd January 2012 11:13:36
    Paul Rudin Says:

Yes it does look like there's a numbering issue. 107 and 106 do seem to be the same thing. But there has still been one a week. 106/107 came out this week. The previous episode - 105 - came out last week as far as I can see.

Uh, oh... Somebody made a boo-boo!
The John Fisher ep is #106 - #107 hasn't happened yet. Someone getting ahead of themselves?!

    Greg Brock Says:

Good point Shawn. It looks like the John Fisher Episode was added twice when the podcast was being edited. I have removed one of the show notes and re numbered the sequence. Cheers guys.

another fantastic show, well done guys. Really excited about the new ultra talk - some of the best interviews over the last couple of years have been the ultra guys, can't wait. Having never ventured further than a marathon distance I have a place in the famous 6ft track in Australia in March - not quite a real ultra at 45kms but on the way, will be great to get some tips for the trials
    keep up the good work
(also worth looking up ultra168 - an ultra running website here in Oz that is growing)

I was totally humbled when I listened to this on my long run yesterday. I was battling against very strong winds and feeling the pain - and then I listened to this wonderful man's courage and I chided myself for being such a wuss and grumping about the weather. What an inspiration. Thanks, MT, that made my weekend :-)

Have to agree with everyone else, what an interview. I listened while on my weekly long run, and when I got home I told my wife all about it.
Well done Martin and Tom on not only interviewing the big names in running, but in also finding people like John to interview.

I'm a little behind on the episodes so just listened today during my long run, inspiring interview I have to say. Was thinking about Comrades myself next year as well & John's enthusiasm has me convinced now!
