How do you like our South African recording studio? A double bed and an iPhone!!!
We recorded this week's show on our final evening in South Africa, the day after completing the infamous Comrades Marathon in ten hours and 48 minutes.
As well as our own race report, we talked about the build-up, the event itself, and what our top ten tips for Comrades success are now that we've completed the run.
You're no doubt over here to find out about our press-up challenge? Well... we did manage to knock out 100 press-ups at 30k, 60k, and 90k... it just took 50 press-ups each and several goes from Tom ;)
The video evidence should be available by the end of the week... watch this space ;)
Tony's Trials
Just back from the German ultra event, the Rennsteiglauf, Tony brought us his own race report like only Tony can...

great podcast, your ultra learning points seem very similar to mine, glad to hear Tom is up to do it again, there are lots of good ultras in the UK, the Highland Fling is particularly good, ?next year

p.s still working at the mile time but the press ups have gone backwards, maybe you need a section in a podcast re gun development for naturally scawny runners

Guys...An awsome show this week. The start made the hair on the back of my neck stand up, the race report made me want to sign up to Comrades 2010 there and then, and Tony's trials made me laugh out loud so much, I literally spat cornflakes at my wife over the breakfast table this morning, listneing to it ! I can't wait for the next show.

Comrades - fantastic show guys, and all the lead up shows too. I was there and it brought it all back. I missed my sub 9 target too but it didn't matter it was just great to be part of it.
