All about running. By runners, for runners.

Talk Ultra: Episode 2 - Gordy Ainsleigh

Released: Friday 10th February 2012

Gordy Ainsleigh - In 1974, Ainsleigh was the first to run the course of the Western States Endurance Run. At the time, the trail was used only by horses participating in the 24-hour Western States Trail Ride. When his horse went lame prior to the race, Ainsleigh decided he would run the torturous 100 miles (160 km) of mountain trail. This was the beginning of the Western States Endurance Run.

Thanks so much for "centering" the audio. As I'm sure many of us listen primarily through headphones of some sort, this made for a much more comfortable listen. Content wise, Talk Ultra was already brilliant!

Great show - sounds very smooth and relaxed already. As a runner who usually races below 1/2 marathon I still found it fascinating listening.

Will never buy a pair a shoes again without thinking of all the 'running bums I'm supporting' - genius !

Thanks for all the great comments guys! Big learning curve but we have a grip of what is required. All those little sound issues should hopefully be sorted now, however, I still had one or two technical problems with episode 2. I am getting there.... What's important is that we give you what you want. It's great to hear that our show appeals to ALL runners. That is the intention. IanC

Catching up slowly. I was horrified when the Gordy Ainsley interview finished. I really could have listened to that all day. Great job, guys.
